Job summary

LHH Recruitment Solutions is assisting a national manufacturing company in the northwest Milwaukee suburbs to hire a Cost Accountant. The role will partner with the CFO on month-end close, and will analyze costs arising from design changes, raw materials, and manufacturing methods, preparing variance reports.

The position is hybrid with two remote days per week and requires independence, strong communication with upper management, and support for forecasting, budgeting, and fixed asset

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• At least 2 years of cost accounting experience.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to interact and communicate with upper-level management on a daily basis.

Responsibilities

• Partner with CFO on month/year end close procedures.
• Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine cost effects.
• Analyze actual production costs and prepare periodic variance reports.
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division.
• Maintain fixed asset registers.
• Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts related to inventory.
• Provide support for other accounting functions when needed.

Job Duties:

• Partner with CFO on month/year end close procedures
• Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided, to determine effects on costs.
• Analyzes actual production costs and prepares periodic reports on variances
• Assist with forecasting and budgeting for division
• Maintain fixed asset registers
• Analyze and reconcile the general ledger accounts related to inventory
• Provide support for other accounting functions when needed

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant (cost accounting) experience
• Ability to work independently
