Qualifications

• Two years of full-time or equivalent teaching experience or educational leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in education or related field; substitutions allowed.
• Ability to work with incarcerated individuals, staff and administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide cosmetology instruction to inmates in a medium security setting.
• Follow curricula and lesson plans to address student needs.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Participate in recruitment and follow-up with students.
• Deliver individualized instruction and hands-on cosmetology training.
• Manage classroom materials, inventory, and tool control; assist in equipment inventory.
• Prepare and submit book/supply orders and participate in weekly staff meetings.
• Prepare classroom and maintain records; conduct evaluations and attend in-service training.
• Work with IMS and perform other duties as assigned by Head Teacher.
