Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state cosmetology license and a beauty culture instructor license.
• Prior correctional facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, standards-aligned cosmetology instruction.
• Teach hands-on lab skills supporting industry certification and workplace readiness.
• Begin and end class on time per schedules.
• Differentiate instruction for learners with diverse readiness levels.
• Use multiple modalities to increase learning opportunities.
• Monitor and document student progress toward learning outcomes.
• Provide timely and unbiased feedback and assess skills.
• Collaborate with Ivy Tech and IDOC to promote re-entry success.
