Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• MTEL or ABE licensure preferred.
• Must be available to work night programming.

Responsibilities

• Instruct inmates/probationers/parolees/students in basic educational skills.
• Maintain student management databases and data-entry functions.
• Administer in-house tests to determine grade level and monitor progress.
• Maintain inmate student records and report needs/progress to supervisor.
• Keep daily classroom activity and safety in line with procedures.
• Confers with students and counselors to resolve behavioral and academic issues.
• Maintain discipline and participate in meetings and professional development.
