Job summary

Atrium Staffing LLC is assisting a growing cosmetics company in New Jersey to hire a Regulatory Specialist (Cosmetics). This role centers on regulatory compliance for personal care products, including raw material coding, ingredient documentation, product registrations, testing coordination, and labeling reviews.

The ideal candidate will have a chemistry background, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail with accuracy for regulatory documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a regulated environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and independent work style.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office tools for data management and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform raw material coding and maintain supplier regulatory documentation.
• Evaluate formulas, ingredient lists, labels, and claims for regulatory alignment.
• Maintain organized regulatory files to support audits, inspections, and labeling reviews.
• Oversee material coding by collecting, reviewing, and updating supplier documentation.
• Prepare regulatory records for U.S. and international product launches and registrations.
• Manage product registrations and MoCRA and state filings (e.g., CA).
• Coordinate safety testing with Formulation teams and external labs, including documentation.
• Contribute to the development and upkeep of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).
• Respond to regulatory inquiries with accurate product and ingredient information.
• Support additional regulatory tasks as needed.
