Vantage Oleochemicals, Inc. is seeking an R&D Lab Intern to support scientists in a hands-on, on-site role in Warren, NJ. The position involves routine lab tasks, sample management, packaging, inventory, and documentation under supervision.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a science degree with lab experience; 20 hours per week minimum (about 2.5 days). The role includes handling samples, calibrations, and batch-making cosmetics formulations.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field such as chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, microbiology, or cosmetic sciences.
• Sophomore standing or higher preferred.
• Previous laboratory experience or coursework in lab techniques is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming/outgoing formulation prototypes and organize samples in the Warren sample room.
• Pack and ship samples for customer requests and maintain the sample tracker.
• Label samples accurately per project, customer, or lab requirements.
• Support inventory management for raw materials and lab supplies used in R&D.
• Assist with stability-chamber sample management and data recording under supervision.
• Calibrate lab equipment per SOPs and document calibration activities.
• Assist with batch-making of cosmetics formulations as needed.
