Job summary

Vantage in Warren, NJ seeks a college student for an on-site R&D Lab Intern role. You will support scientists with routine lab tasks, sample handling, packaging, and documentation, working roughly 20 hours weekly.

The position is hands-on in a fast-paced lab, requiring up to 15 pounds lifting, and adherence to SOPs and safety guidelines. Relevant science coursework is preferred, with Sophomore status desirable.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a science-related field, preferably chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, microbiology, cosmetic science, formulation science, or a related discipline.
• Sophomore standing or above is preferred.
• Previous laboratory experience or coursework involving laboratory techniques or exposure to personal care, cosmetic, chemical, or consumer products is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming and outgoing formulation prototypes and organize samples in the Warren sample room.
• Pack and ship samples for customer requests and maintain the sample tracker.
• Fill formulation prototypes into packaging formats and label samples accurately.
• Support inventory management for raw materials and laboratory supplies.
• Assist with stability-chamber sample management and data recording under supervision.
• Calibrate laboratory equipment and record calibration activities per SOPs.
• Assist scientists with laboratory batch-making activities for cosmetic products.
