Job summary

Bayport Laboratories is seeking an experienced Inventory Manager in Houston to lead inventory control across the warehouse, ensure accuracy, and drive cost efficiency. You will supervise staff, implement best practices, and partner with procurement, QA, and operations to optimize stock levels and on-time order fulfillment.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate records, enforcing FIFO/FEFO, monitoring turnover and shrinkage, analyzing data for improvements, and guiding systems

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in inventory management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accurate inventory records for cosmetic products.
• Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to optimize stock levels.
• Monitor turnover, carrying costs, and shrinkage.
• Supervise and train inventory staff; conduct performance evaluations.
• Ensure incoming shipments are received, inspected, and documented.
• Coordinate with procurement and vendors to resolve discrepancies.
• Lead FIFO/FEFO stock rotation and monitor shelf life.
• Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with QA and IT teams on system improvements.
