Job summary

Carvana is seeking a Line Lead, Cosmetic (Body Shop) to supervise hourly associates in the Inspection Center, driving production and quality targets. You will coordinate car flow, review defects, and guide teams with a focus on efficiency and safety.

You will coach staff, ensure compliance with processes, and collaborate with leadership to repair or reject inventory based on cost and quality. This role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Experience using computers.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs and no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years).
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds independently; lifting from knee to shoulder heights.
• Requires standing for extended periods; may be in cold, hot, noisy or wet environments.
• Must use safety equipment (face shield, goggles, gloves, etc.).
• Ability to maintain high volume and high-quality output in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to delegate tasks to team members.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Manage movement of cars into/out of the Inspection Center safely to meet production and quality goals.
• Meet or exceed inventory production goals daily, weekly, monthly.
• Oversee day-to-day activities of the team and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide coaching, development and performance feedback to team members.
• Foster a work environment with positive communication and adherence to Carvana values.
• Communicate expectations, performance measures, and goals to the team clearly.
• Resolve conflicts among team members.
• Monitor adherence to policies, procedures and standards.
• Review defects and approve repairs or rejections based on cost/quality.
• Lead production associates and collaborate with the GM to decide repairs vs. rejection.
• Train associates on Quality Control standards to minimize rechecks and delays.
• Identify and complete repairs correctly the first time to reduce rework.
• Work safely to minimize injury risks and hazardous conditions.
• Manage multiple associates and support their development.
