Job summary

Symrise is seeking an Application Chemist in the United States (New Jersey) to develop US-focused formulations using CI ingredients and to support customer projects. You will interact with regional CI labs and contribute to marketing-driven formulation initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Chemistry or related science with 1–3 years in cosmetics applications, including emulsifiers, UV filters, and active ingredients; color cosmetics is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of cosmetic industry experience in applications technology.
• Experience with emulsifiers, UV filters, active chemical ingredients required; color cosmetics a plus.

Responsibilities

• A. Work on projects defined by the Manager 50%
• B. Develop formulations to support Marketing initiatives 20%
• C. Prepare or develop formulations for new CI product launches 10%
• D. Prepare training materials for the CI Sales team 10%
• E. Order necessary raw materials, consumables, packaging for projects 10%
