Job summary

Symrise is seeking an Application Chemist to work under managerial supervision on US-focused projects. You will develop formulations utilizing CI ingredients, collaborate with regional CI labs, and support marketing initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, 1–3 years in cosmetics applications, and experience with emulsifiers, UV filters, and active ingredients. A discretionary annual bonus may be available depending on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related science.
• 1–3 years of cosmetic industry experience in applications technology.
• Experience with emulsifiers, UV filters and active chemical ingredients; color cosmetics a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work on projects defined by the Manager.
• Develop formulations to support Marketing initiatives.
• Prepare formulations for new CI product launches.
• Develop training materials for the CI Sales team.
• Order necessary raw materials, consumables and packaging for projects.
