Sun Chemical Corporation in Parsippany, New Jersey, is seeking a Cosmetic Application Specialist to support our cosmetic portfolio with pigment formulations and color cosmetic applications. You will collaborate with global technical service and the Americas sales team to drive product development and customer success.

Ideal candidates hold a BS/BA in chemistry or cosmetic science, with 5+ years in laboratory cosmetic formulation, particularly color cosmetics, and possess strong problem-solving

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Chemistry or cosmetic science required.
• 5+ years of laboratory and cosmetic formulation experience, especially in color cosmetics.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration within a global organization.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day laboratory activities for color cosmetic pigments and applications.
• Assist development and substantiation of cosmetic pigment products in formulations.
• Formulate cosmetic products with emphasis on color cosmetics, following safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical support for the customer base.
• Document results in reports/slides and present at internal meetings.
• Laboratory maintenance, including equipment calibration and raw material management.
