Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Corrugator Supervisor to lead safe, efficient production in the corrugated container facility. You will set performance expectations, drive KPIs, supervise machine productivity, and coach a diverse team.

The role requires a high school diploma, plus 3+ years supervisory experience in packaging, with Lean and Six Sigma certification preferred. Strong communication, problem-solving, and the ability to coach and train staff on the floor are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED – Required.
• 3+ years of converting supervisory experience in a packaging facility – Required.
• Experience in Lean environment; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
• Experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute safety briefs to the team on designated shift and intervals.
• Monitor workplace safety and address unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and plant policies.
• Track production daily goals for converting machines and report KPIs.
• Manage workforce planning and attendance policies.
• Communicate with all plant functions to meet production needs.
• Promote positive employee relations and cross-department collaboration.
• Supervise daily production activities and monitor team performance.
• Participate in Daily Management Systems to track progress toward goals.
