Job summary

Westrock Company, Inc. in Chattanooga seeks a Converting Supervisor to lead safe, efficient production in our corrugated container facility.

You will set performance expectations, drive KPIs, and coach a diverse team across shifts. This role requires strong communication, Lean/Six Sigma experience, and the ability to respond quickly to production challenges while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3+ years of converting supervisory experience in a packaging facility.
• Experience in Lean environments; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
• Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability and drive for improvement.
• Ability to coach and train employees.
• Ability to be an on-shift resource for troubleshooting process and maintenance issues.
• Ability to make independent, effective decisions.
• Self-directed team player with flexibility to work multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Execute safety briefs to team members on designated shift.
• Monitor workplace safety and address unsafe conditions.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and plant policies.
• Track daily production goals for Converting machines and report KPIs.
• Manage workforce planning and attendance adherence.
• Communicate with all plant functions to meet production needs.
• Foster positive employee relations and cross-functional collaboration.
• Supervise daily production activities and monitor team performance.
• Engage in Daily Management Systems to drive production progress.
