Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or Operations Management preferred.
• 3+ years of corrugator/converting supervisory experience in a packaging facility.
• Experience in a Lean environment; Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
• Proven experience in operations, manufacturing, or supply chain.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Proven problem-solving ability and continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders across functions and teams.
• Ability to coach and train employees and be on-shift resource for troubleshooting.
• Ability to make independent, effective decisions and be a self-directed team player.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shift operations with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Act as first point of contact for operators on mechanical failures or production issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and enforce control procedures; suggest improvements to Plant Superintendent.
• Coordinate production activities with other departments to meet goals cost-effectively.
• Monitor production to eliminate waste and align with schedules.
• Input production data to monitor KPIs like efficiency, downtime, and inventory.
• Recommend safety, environmental, and health improvements for the facility.
• Produce daily shift production reports and review goal attainment.
• Control load factors and workflow for optimal use of capacity, labor, tools and equipment.
• Manage and coach employees; conduct performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Handle recruiting, orientation, training and staff development.
• Direct maintenance to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance.
• Enforce safety regulations and promote safety-conscious behavior.
• Ensure daily compliance with company standards and customer commitments.
