Job summary

Pratt Industries is seeking a full-time press department operator at our Texas facility. You will run the machine, perform setup and cleanup, and help improve operations while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Minimum high school diploma or GED required; preferred experience in the corrugated industry with 6 months as a Press Department First Helper and 6 months in the Press and Finishing Department. On-site role with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Prior corrugated industry experience preferred.
• 6 months’ experience as a Press Department First Helper.
• 6 months’ experience in the Press and Finishing Department.

Responsibilities

• Operate the machine including setup, operation, cleanup, and recommend improvements to operations.
• Monitor box quality (loose liner, warp, correct size, print).
• Check anilox rolls for damage.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating at capacity and speed.
• Train and assist First and Second Helpers with job duties on the machine.
• Cross-train on other machines.
• Complete reports (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety Data, Quality Data) accurately.
• Submit maintenance work orders and proactively maintain equipment.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest optimizations.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
