Job summary

TC Energy Corp. in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking a multi-skilled USGO Corrosion/Pipeline/M&R Technician to support the operation and maintenance of natural gas pipelines and facilities.

The role requires knowledge of high-pressure pipelines and cathodic protection systems and the ability to work with minimal supervision. The candidate should possess problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, and be prepared to participate in on-call rotations, DOT compliance, and contractor

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Demonstrated work experience in a related industry is preferred.
• Experience locating and marking subsurface pipeline infrastructure is required.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and lockout/tagout procedures is required.
• Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct periodic surveys to determine corrosive areas and record cathodic protection performance.
• Check rectifiers and anode structures and evaluate operating efficiency.
• Assist in analyzing and resolving cathodic protection issues.
• Install interference bonds in collaboration with other companies.
• Maintain cathodic protection equipment and conduct routine tests.
• Oversee and participate in DOT and regulatory inspections.
• Operate and maintain equipment, troubleshoot systems, and review technical manuals.
