Job summary

TC Energy is seeking a Multiskilled Pipeline & Corrosion Technician to support the Crawford/Laurel USGO team in Sugar Grove, Ohio. The role focuses on high-pressure natural gas pipeline upkeep, cathodic protection systems, and ensuring safe, reliable operation near MAOP limits.

Ideal candidates will be self-starters with problem-solving and communication skills, able to work with minimal supervision, and willing to travel for temporary assignments and on-call duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in energy/industrial plant or related industry.
• Must reside within 30 miles or 45 minutes of the Sugar Grove, OH reporting location.
• NACE CP Level 1 certification preferred.
• Knowledge of cathodic protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Locate and mark underground facilities per 811.
• Oversee pipeline/utility crossings and encroachments with landowners, contractors, and customers.
• Identify and address encroachments and patrol observations.
• Perform preventative maintenance on facilities, valves, actuators, CP systems, and related equipment.
• Conduct leak surveys, corrosion monitoring, and field data collection.
• Lead shutdowns, hot work, gas handling, and safety reviews for capital projects.
