The Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections – Corrections Services at Angola, LA, seeks a Training and Development Specialist to coordinate and deliver training programs for staff in a correctional setting.

You will maintain training records, schedule mandatory sessions, monitor certification requirements, and ensure compliance with agency policies to support a professional, safety‑minded workplace.

Competenze

• Three years of experience in planning, developing, delivering, or evaluating training programs or related fields.
• Six years of full-time experience in any field; OR a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned equals one year of experience, up to 120 semester hours (four years).

Mansioni

• Independently resolves routine problems and enforces academy standards and policies.
• Delivers training to state employees, including CPR/First Aid, and supports productivity tools.
• Coordinates computer lab training and develops instructional materials in printed and electronic formats.
