State of Louisiana through the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections – Corrections Services seeks an ARDC Specialist to manage offender records and classification for inmates at Angola and associated facilities. The role involves preparing papers for reclassification, visitation decisions, and interactions with parole considerations, within a 24-hour corrections setting.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years in offender records analysis or related fields, or 6+ years in any field,

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in offender records analysis, offender classification, or related areas.
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field.
• A bachelor’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Counsels/advises offenders and prepares paperwork for reclassification and visitation.
• Determines offender classification status for parole eligibility.
• Reviews offender records daily for status changes and work release eligibility.
• Works with offenders across custody levels including death row and protective custody.
