Louisiana Department of Public Safety & Corrections – Corrections Services seeks a Social Service Counselor for Angola, LA. You will obtain social histories, support treatment teams, and manage a caseload to advance rehabilitation within a 24-hour facility.

You will coordinate admissions and follow-up services, liaise with clients, families, and institutions, and ensure eligibility for services while adhering to PREA requirements.

Qualifications

• Three years of social services experience; OR six years of full-time experience in any field; OR a bachelor's degree.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and prepare social histories for treatment teams.
• Participate in treatment team decisions and formulate treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload by scheduling, assessing progress and making recommendations.
• Coordinate admissions, discharges and follow-up services.
• Serve as liaison between client, family and agency.
