Job summary

On-site role requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with potential corrections experience and preferred instructor credentials. Travel may be required and contracts with providers may be managed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Correctional security exposure may be substituted for education.
• Experience in training, adult education or human resource development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct job analyses and assessments to evaluate training needs and develop curriculum.
• Lead classroom training, workshops or seminars to improve knowledge and skills.
• Prepare training reports and maintain participant records.
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions and locations.
• Supervise other training officers in planning and conducting programs.
• Coordinate department or division training and manage vendor contracts.
