Job summary

Jackson County Missouri is seeking an IT support specialist for the Corrections Department to respond to staff requests for a wide range of electronic and surveillance systems. You will review, forward, and collaborate with the IT team and service providers, perform maintenance and replacements, and evaluate systems monthly with recommendations.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or five (5) years' experience.
• Must have a valid Driver License and provide his/her own transportation.
• The associate is provided mobile devices including phone and laptop and is required to be on call outside of working hours for emergency support requirements.
• Must submit to/pass a police background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Responds to user requests for support or services including but not limited to touch screen systems, radios, intercoms, CCTV/ video surveillance systems, metal detectors, electronic access control systems, camcorders, body scanning equipment and any other common electronic or technology related hardware or software.
