Job summary

Staff Today Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Polkton, NC team, providing direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting.

You will assess health conditions, administer medications, monitor progress, document EMR entries, and coordinate with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, high-quality care. The ideal candidate holds an NC RN license, has 1+ year of RN experience, and is able to respond to emergencies, perform wound care, and educate patients and families.

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1+ year RN experience within last 3 years.
• BLS certification and required compliance documents.
• Familiar with EMR documentation and infection control.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Monitor progress and document assessments and outcomes.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams for patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge plans.
• Respond to emergencies and perform wound care and IV therapy when needed.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and uphold infection control standards.
