Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of the Corrections Facility, while maintaining facility security standards. Location: Stanford, CA; Travel position with weekly paychecks and benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and a 401(k).

Licensure, CPR, and health certificate per contract or state regulation are required; at least one year of corrections

Qualifications

• Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• CPR certification and Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of the Corrections Facility.
• Maintain facility security standards.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close andimmediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basisproviding general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatorysection of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility securitystandards.

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in theapplicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
