Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver general and emergency nursing care in medical and ambulatory areas of correctional facilities, while upholding facility security standards.

Location involves travel in Virginia; must hold a current LPN license, CPR (if applicable), and a health certificate; meet all federal, state and local requirements and be at least 18 years old. Amergis offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year of Corrections experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• Current health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of the Corrections Facility while maintaining security standards.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close andimmediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basisproviding general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatorysection of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility securitystandards.

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in theapplicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
