Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care in a correctional facility. The role requires maintaining security standards while caring for adults and children in custody.

The position emphasizes LICENSURE as a minimum, with preference for corrections experience and current CPR where applicable. Eligibility includes compliance with federal, state, and local requirements and being at least 18 years old.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Practical Nursing license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR, if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
