Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to work in Houston, TX. The role involves providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of a corrections facility, while upholding security standards.

Travel assignments are available across facilities. The LPN must hold a current state Practical Nursing license, with 1+ year corrections experience preferred, and maintain CPR and health certificate as required.

Qualifications

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility.
• Maintains facility security standards while delivering nursing care.
• Works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis.
