Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care within our Corrections Facility in Sanford, FL. The role requires a current LPN license and adherence to facility security standards.

The position offers a contract-full-time arrangement with competitive pay, benefits, and weekly paychecks. You will work under contract terms, meeting state regulations and requiring at least 18 years of age and CPR as applicable.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR certification, if applicable.
• Current Health certificate as required by contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care to adults and children in custody.
• Maintain facility security standards while delivering care.
• Collaborate with medical staff and corrections personnel as needed.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
