Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse to provide general and emergency nursing care in a corrections facility, working closely with custody populations. Candidates must hold a current LPN license in the applicable state and meet all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Responsibilities

• Provides general and emergency nursing care to adults and children in custody.
• Maintains facility security standards while delivering care.
• Works in the Medical and Ambulatory section within the Corrections Facility.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.
