Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections LPN for a travel assignment in Smithfield, NC. The nurse will provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of a corrections facility while upholding security standards.

Must hold an NC LPN license with CPR certification; 1 year corrections experience preferred. Pay is $1,560 per week for 40 hours. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life insurance and a 401(k) plan with recognition programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire/PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate per contract or state regulation.
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
