Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse for a travel assignment in Elizabeth City, NC. The nurse will provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory sections of a corrections facility, while maintaining facility security standards.

This role requires a current LPN license, at least one year of corrections experience preferred, CPR if applicable, and compliance with health, TB and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.

Responsibilities

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
