Job summary

Amergis is seeking a Corrections LPN/LVN to provide general and emergency nursing care in a corrections facility, while upholding strict security standards. The role requires an active LPN/LVN license in the practicing state and at least one year in corrections.

Qualifications

• Current CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provide general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.
• Maintain facility security standards as part of daily duties.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse/ LicensedVocational Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and juvenilesin custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in theMedical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintainingfacility security standards.

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
