Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections LPN/LVN to provide general and emergency nursing care in custody settings, while upholding facility security standards. Position requires active state LPN/LVN license, at least one year in corrections, CPR if applicable, and compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Current LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections.
• CPR if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulations).

Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care to adults and juveniles in custody.
• Deliver emergency nursing care as needed.
• Maintain facility security standards while delivering care.

Job description

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse/ LicensedVocational Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and juvenilesin custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in theMedical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintainingfacility security standards.

• Possesses a current LPN/LVN license in state practicing
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections required
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
