Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse for a travel assignment in Burgaw, NC. The LPN will provide general and emergency nursing care to adults in custody within the Corrections Facility, while upholding security standards.

The role requires an active Practical Nursing license, CPR (if applicable), and at least 18 years old, with a preference for one year in corrections. Pay is $1519 per week with a 36-hour work week and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Practical Nursing license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in corrections preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close and immediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basis providing general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility security standards.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possesses a current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state

• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
