Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks a Corrections LPN for a travel assignment in Salem, VA. The LPN will provide general and emergency nursing care for adults and children in custody, while maintaining facility security standards.

Requirements include an active LPN license in the state, CPR, and at least one year of corrections experience; TB testing, health certificate, and compliance with regulations are expected.

Qualifications

• Current Practical Nursing License in the applicable state.
• Minimum of one year experience in Corrections preferred.
• Current CPR certification if applicable.
• TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Provides general nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatory section.
• Performs emergency nursing care as needed.
• Maintains facility security standards during care.

The Corrections Licensed Practical Nurse works in close andimmediate contact with adults and children in custody on a daily basisproviding general and emergency nursing care in the Medical and Ambulatorysection of the Corrections Facility while maintaining facility securitystandards.

Minimum Requirements:
