The State of New Hampshire, Department of Corrections, NH State Prison for Men, Concord, NH, is seeking a full-time Media Generalist II to oversee daily prison library operations and provide inmate services with a strong emphasis on security.

The role includes supervising library staff, coordinating materials, and schedule management to support rehabilitation goals and library access for inmates.

Qualifications

• Equivalent combination of 4 years of education and experience after high school in library/media fields.
• Must have supervisory or management experience.
• Valid driver’s license and transportation statewide.

Responsabilités

• Provides supervision, training, and education to DOC library staff and inmate workers in circulation, cataloging, and records.
• Direct services to inmates lacking library access to ensure compliance with guidelines.
• Evaluate and purchase legal materials to meet court-mandated guidelines.
• Maintain records of library materials to minimize loss and maximize accountability.
• Schedule library use and manage inmate requests.
