Job summary

The Colorado Department of Corrections seeks a Technician III to oversee library operations in an offender services setting at a correctional facility. You will supervise clerks, manage the library's administrative tasks, and coordinate with the Regional Librarian and Programs Manager to plan services and budgets.

Responsibilities include catalog maintenance in the ILS, interlibrary loans, and preparing monthly reports while ensuring safety and adherence to policy.

Qualifications

• Minimum MQ: three years of technical/high-level clerical experience described in your application.
• High-level clerical duties include creating/revising documents, budgets, and program materials.
• Combination of college coursework and relevant related experience may meet MQ with transcript attached.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day general library operations.
• Plan library services and budgetary needs with regional librarian and facility manager.
• Recommend materials to meet educational and recreational needs of offenders.
• Supervise library clerks; assign tasks, monitor progress and workflow.
• Maintain patron/material records in the ILS; ensure catalog compliance and perform interlibrary loan functions.
• Monitor offender behavior in library; enforce rules; write incident reports; resolve conflicts.
• Prepare monthly narrative and statistical reports.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
