Job summary

Summit, based in Hailey, ID, is seeking an experienced cook supervisor for its Corrections team in Blaine County Detention Center. The role supervises staff to ensure efficiency and adherence to standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will train employees in food service, sanitation, and on-time meal service, with a focus on high-quality, scratch-cooked items and strong customer service within a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• At least one year’s culinary experience in a quality, high-volume establishment with emphasis on scratch cooking.
• Knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques and standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Food Handlers certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Instructing and training employees in all aspects of food service and sanitation, ensuring meals begin on time and that portions, appearance and temperature meet high quality standards.
