Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates, train workers, and ensure sanitation and safety in food production. You will coordinate work, enforce HACCP standards, and maintain secure storage and safety compliance across shifts.

Responsibilities include reviewing production logs, directing meal preparation, and ensuring accurate inventory and portion control while adhering to Aramark policies and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional environment.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
• Must follow basic safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review/approve production and temperature logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in preparation and serving of meals.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in use of Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are fulfilled.
• Obtain accurate daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas locked and secure.
• Ensure kitchen tools/equipment are returned to secure areas and keys secured.
• Determine work procedures, create schedules and sanitation plans for cooks/staff.
• Assist in inventory, receiving and storage of food; requisition orders as needed.
• Participate in 5 P's: Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction.
• Follow Aramark Standard of Operation for food handling; HACCP compliance.
