Job summary

Aramark is seeking a Corrections Oversight Worker to supervise inmates in food preparation and ensure meals meet production plans. You will train staff, coordinate work, and uphold sanitation and safety standards within a correctional facility.

Responsibilities include supervising meal service, following HACCP guidelines, conducting inventory, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Experience in correctional environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum 1 year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Ability to motivate and supervise inmates and/or team members in a correctional setting.
• Must obtain a food safety certification.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and tact.
• Must follow safety procedures and policies.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines by reviewing production and temperature logs.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely, efficient meal service and adherence to Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in meal preparation and serving.
• Print and distribute recipes.
• Direct inmates in using Aramark recipes and train on cooking procedures.
• Ensure proper portions and dietary requirements are met.
• Obtain daily population counts and review with staff.
• Adhere to security policies; keep storage areas locked.
• Return kitchen tools/equipment to secure area; manage keys.
• Set work and sanitation schedules; monitor adherence by staff.
• Assist in inventory and food storage; place requisitions as needed.
• Participate in 5 P’s (Participation, Pulls, Production, Portion Control, Postproduction).
• Follow Aramark SOPs and HACCP policies on food handling.
