Summit, a brand of Elior North America, seeks a motivated food service director for its corrections team in Superior, WI. You will lead a skilled staff and oversee all aspects of the food service department to ensure inmates receive meals on time.

This full-time, on-site role requires at least two years of coordinating food service operations, experience with industrial cooking, strong communication, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

The Role at a glance

We are looking to add a motivated, effective food service director to our Corrections team in Superior, WI. As a food service director, you will have the opportunity to lead a talented team of food service workers and manage all aspects of a food service department to ensure that customers and clients never miss a meal.

What you'll be doing

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Manage and lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
• Addressing customer service needs.

What we're looking for

Must-haves

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Previous experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives.
• The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction.
• Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications.

Nice-to-haves

• ServSafe and/or HACCP certification

Compensation Range
