Job summary

Summit is seeking a motivated food service director to join the Corrections team in Gettysburg, PA. You will lead a skilled crew and oversee every aspect of the food service department to ensure inmates receive timely, nutritious meals.

The role requires at least two years of experience coordinating food service operations, industrial cooking experience, and strong communication with both hourly staff and executives. ServSafe/HACCP certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and company executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with client satisfaction.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget for the department, including purchasing ingredients and meeting targets.
• Collaborate with the district manager or other departments on dining service aspects.
