Job summary

Elior North America, in partnership with Summit, is seeking a motivated food service director to lead the Corrections team in Franklin, PA. You will oversee all aspects of the food service department and drive meals and service quality for inmates.

You will manage staff, hire and train, ensure culinary, safety and sanitation standards, and control the budget while coordinating with district management on dining operations to meet targets.

Qualifications

• At least two years coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client satisfaction.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• ServSafe and/or HACCP certification (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts.
• Confer with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service.
