Job summary

State of Wisconsin, Division of Adult Institution, is seeking a Financial Specialist at Racine Correctional Institution (Sturtevant). Under supervision, you will maintain PIOC accounts in the Wisconsin Integrated Corrections System (WICS), handle receipts and disbursements, obligations, prepare general fund checks, and generate routine financial reports.

The role may back up other Financial Specialists; a 12-month probationary period applies.

Qualifications

• Data gathering and entering financial data.
• Basic math, cash handling, and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain PIOC accounts using Wisconsin Integrated Corrections System (WICS).
• Process receipts and disbursements, PIOC obligations, and reconcile ledgers.
• Prepare general fund checks and monthly/quarterly/annual reports.
• Back up other Financial Specialists as needed.
