Denton County seeks a Corrections Facility Technician I to perform semi-skilled to skilled maintenance at the Sheriff's Department, Detention Center, and jail facilities, covering mechanical, electrical, and security systems.
You will handle carpentry, plumbing, painting and HVAC tasks, supervise inmate trustees on projects, and support preventive maintenance programs while ensuring safety and compliance.
The Corrections Facility Technician I performs semi-skilled to skilled work in the maintenance and repair of the Sheriff's Department, Detention Center, and jail facilities. Work involves the maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment including jail security systems and performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks requiring knowledge of building trade skills. Employee is responsible for performing semi-skilled work in one or more building trades, such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and/or installation of heating and air conditioning equipment.
