Job summary

Summit is seeking a motivated food service director for the Corrections team in Ann Arbor, MI. You will lead a talented group of food service workers and oversee all aspects of the department to ensure meals are served promptly and accurately.

Responsibilities include managing operations, hiring and training staff, enforcing culinary, safety, and sanitation standards, budgeting, and coordinating with the district manager on dining service.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience coordinating food service operations.
• Experience with industrial cooking.
• Excellent communication with hourly staff and executives.
• Ability to manage in a diverse environment with client and customer focus.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage all functions of the food service department and its resources.
• Lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees.
• Ensure staff meet culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations.
• Budget the department, including purchasing ingredients and forecasting targets.
• Coordinate with the district manager on the dining service aspects.
