The State of West Virginia is seeking a Corrections Case Manager to join a team serving inmates in a correctional facility. The role centers on managing inmate needs and may include individual or group counseling, developing treatment plans, and preparing reports for circuit courts.

The position requires collaboration with inmates, legal representatives, treatment providers and court officials to support placement and progression.

Formación

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in criminal justice, corrections, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling and guidance, criminology, social work or related field.

Responsabilidades

• Provide services to an assigned caseload of inmates in a correctional facility.
• Focus on overall management of inmates and meeting their needs.
• Provide individual and/or group counseling as needed.
• Assist in development and implementation of treatment programs and case histories.
• Gather information on placement, treatment and court information for inmates.
• Write reports and recommendations regarding inmate behavior, placement and performance for circuit courts.
• Coordinate inmate movement and act as liaison between inmates, legal representatives, family, treatment providers and court officials.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, counseling, social work or related field
