Job summary

The State of West Virginia is seeking a Corrections Case Manager to support an inmate caseload within a correctional facility. You will conduct counseling, help develop treatment plans, and prepare case histories and court-related reports.

Join a team-based environment where you will interact with inmates, families, treatment providers and legal representatives, coordinating services and ensuring inmate needs are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, corrections, psychology, sociology, counseling, counseling and guidance, criminology, social work or related field.
• Master's degree may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Two years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in inmate counseling, security or treatment in a correctional setting or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling to inmates as part of a treatment-focused plan.
• Assist in developing and implementing treatment programs and writing reports/recommendations.
• Serve as liaison between inmate, legal representatives, family, treatment providers and court officials.
