Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, corrections, criminal justice, sociology, counseling or related field.

Responsibilities

• Conducts clinical interviews and administers and scores psychological tests and prepares evaluations.
• Counsels inmates to facilitate treatment and identify at-risk individuals.
• Corresponds with courts, parole and other agencies to support treatment or release decisions.
• Writes monthly reports on unit activities and inmate progress.
• Supervises counselors and staff as needed and may oversee case assignments.
